How will working with MIHCA benefit my HMO?

Working with MIHCA allows your HMO to proactively encourage your members to make time for regular exercise. By reimbursing a portion of their health club fees, your members can focus on health management and disease prevention. This is a win-win for everyone, as members rely less on your health care system and more on making good decisions about habits and lifestyle.

Partnering with MIHCA makes implementing a reimbursement program much easier than managing it on your own. First off, we have access to over 300 independent fitness centers and their members. This means a MIHCA member fitness center will be available in many of the communities where your members live.

In addition to that, our collaboration with Vanco Services provides an easy-to-use reimbursement management system. Your HMO can track member usage across multiple fitness centers using just one report, rather than reporting on each center individually.

Another way MIHCA assists your HMO is to serve as an intermediary between you and our member fitness centers. We are available to field customer service and eligibility questions. In doing so, we will promote and endorse your HMO to our members.
